How do I prove I own my site?

When we need proof, your dashboard shows a short code that you add to your site in one of three ways, then you click “Check now”.

Choose the method that’s easiest for you:

• Meta tag: add it to your homepage. In WordPress, use any header-code plugin or your SEO plugin’s verification field.
• Text file: add a small text file to your site’s main folder.
• DNS TXT record: add it where you manage your domain’s DNS.

Then open your publisher dashboard and click Check now. It takes about 2 minutes.

If someone else listed your site before you, submit it anyway and verify it: the listing becomes yours.
