This policy explains what personal information GuestPosts4U collects, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it to what we need to run the marketplace.

Who we are

GuestPosts4U (“we”, “us”) is the controller of your personal information under UK data protection law (UK GDPR). Contact us about privacy through our contact form (topic: My personal data).

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address, username and password (stored encrypted).
  • Publisher details: the sites you list and their prices, your payout details (PayPal email or TRX wallet address) and any other contact method you give us.
  • Order details: the sites you request, target URLs, anchor text, notes, deadlines and the article files you upload.
  • Messages: what you send us through the contact form, by email or in an order’s chat.
  • Reviews: if you rate a completed order, your rating, your review and the name and company or role you choose to show. Once we approve a review, those are shown on our website. Your email and the sites you bought are never shown. Ask us any time and we’ll take your review down.
  • Payment records: invoice, refund and payout amounts, dates, Stripe and PayPal invoice and transaction references. Card and PayPal account details are handled by Stripe and PayPal and never reach us.
  • Technical data: your IP address and browser details, used to keep forms safe from spam and abuse, and the filters used on Browse Sites (not linked to your name) to see which sites buyers look for.

How we use it

  • To run your account and the orders you place or accept: confirming orders with publishers, sending invoices, checking published links and paying publishers. Our legal basis is the contract with you.
  • To send you emails about your account, orders, links and payouts. These are part of the service.
  • To keep the marketplace safe and fair: preventing spam, fraud and people bypassing the platform. Our legal basis is our legitimate interests.
  • To keep accounting records, as required by law.

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

  • Publishers receive what they need to publish an order: the target URL, anchor text, article and notes. They don’t receive your name, email or payment details.
  • Buyers see a publisher’s site and metrics. Publishers’ contact and payout details are never shown to buyers.
  • Stripe sends our card invoices and processes card payments and refunds. When you pay a Stripe invoice, Stripe receives your email, the order number and the amount. Stripe’s Privacy Policy applies.
  • PayPal sends our PayPal invoices, processes those payments and refunds, and payouts to publishers. PayPal’s Privacy Statement applies.
  • The TRON network: payouts in TRX are recorded on the public TRON blockchain, where the receiving address and amount can be seen by anyone, as with every transaction on it.
  • Service providers who host the website and deliver our emails, under contracts that protect your data.
  • hCaptcha (Intuition Machines, Inc.) checks that our forms are sent by people, not bots. When you send a form it protects, hCaptcha collects information about your device and browser, and your IP address. hCaptcha’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
  • Google Translate (Google LLC), only if you choose a language other than English in the language menu. The page’s text and your IP address are then sent to Google to translate the page. Google’s Privacy Policy applies.
  • Metrics providers: to check a site’s metrics we send its domain name to data services that use Ahrefs and Moz data. No personal information is sent.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on safeguards approved under UK law, such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed for the site to work:

  • login cookies that keep you signed in to your account;
  • a short-lived cookie that brings you back to the page you were on after you sign up or log in;
  • if you choose a language in the language menu, a cookie (“googtrans”) that remembers it for a year. Choosing English removes it;
  • if you arrive through one of our campaign links, a cookie that remembers that link for 30 days, so we know which of our emails or posts brought you.

The sites you tick on Browse Sites are remembered in your own browser’s storage so your selection isn’t lost between pages. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. If we ever add analytics, we’ll update this policy and ask for your consent where needed.

On forms protected by hCaptcha, hCaptcha may also store data in your browser to tell people from bots, as described in its Privacy Policy.

If you choose a language other than English, Google Translate may also store data in your browser, as described in Google’s Privacy Policy.

How long we keep it

  • Account details: while your account is open, and for up to 2 years after your last activity.
  • Orders, invoices and payouts: 6 years, as UK accounting rules require.
  • Uploaded articles: for as long as needed to complete the order and handle any link replacement, then deleted on request.
  • Contact messages: up to 2 years.
  • Reviews: while they are shown on the website, or until you ask us to remove them.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your personal information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to you in a portable format. Send your request through our contact form (topic: My personal data) and we’ll reply within one month. Some records, such as invoices, must be kept by law even if you close your account.

If you’re unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We’d appreciate the chance to fix it first.

Security and changes

We use secure connections, encrypted passwords and access controls, and uploaded articles are stored in a private folder that is not publicly reachable. GuestPosts4U is not intended for anyone under 18.

We may update this policy. We’ll post the new version here with a new date, and tell you by email about important changes.
